2. Data Processing on Our Website

Some of your data is collected when you provide it to us. This may include data that you enter into a contact form, for example. Other data is collected automatically or after you give your consent when visiting the website. This mainly involves technical data. The collection of this data occurs automatically as soon as you enter the website.

When you visit our website, your browsing behavior may be statistically evaluated. This happens mainly with cookies and so-called analysis programs and only after your active consent to such processing. You can object to this analysis or prevent it by not using certain tools. Detailed information can be found in the following privacy policy sections.

2.1 SSL or TLS Encryption

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar of your browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser bar.

When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

2.2 Cookies

Some of our web pages use cookies. Cookies help make our website more user-friendly, efficient, and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device and saved by your browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

The following cookies are used on this website:

2.3 External Hosting

This website is hosted by an external service provider (host). The personal data collected on this website is stored on the host’s servers.

This may include, in particular, IP addresses, contact inquiries, meta and communication data, contract data, contact details, names, website access logs, and other data generated via a website.

The use of the host is based on our legitimate interest in the secure, fast, and efficient provision of our online offering by a professional provider (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The host processes your data solely to the extent necessary to provide this website.

2.4 Server Log Files

The provider of these pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits to us automatically. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version

  • Operating system used

  • Referrer URL

  • Host name of the accessing computer

  • Time of the server request

  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources. The basis for data processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of our website — for this, the server log files must be recorded.

2.5 Inquiries by Email, Phone, Fax or Contact Form

If you contact us by email, telephone, fax, or contact form, your inquiry including all resulting personal data (e.g. name, inquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request and in case of follow-up questions.

The processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, if your request is related to the fulfillment of a contract or necessary for the performance of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of inquiries directed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) if it has been obtained.

The data you send to us via contact inquiries will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been fully processed). Mandatory statutory provisions — in particular legal retention periods — remain unaffected.

2.6 Registration on the Website

You can register on our website to access additional features. We use the data entered during registration only for the purpose of using the respective offering or service for which you registered. The mandatory information requested during registration must be provided in full. Otherwise, we will reject the registration.

For important changes, such as scope of services or technically necessary updates, we use the email address provided during registration to inform you.

The processing of the data entered during registration is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may revoke your consent at any time with future effect. An informal email to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data collected during registration will be stored for as long as you are registered on our website and will then be deleted. Legal retention periods remain unaffected.

3. Additional Page Elements

3.1 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics enables us to analyze the behavior of website visitors and optimize our website accordingly.

The use of Google Analytics is based solely on your explicit consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. Consent is obtained via a so-called consent management tool (cookie banner) when you first visit the website. You can withdraw your consent at any time with future effect by adjusting the settings in the cookie banner.

Google Analytics uses cookies or similar technologies to collect information about how you use the website. The data collected by Google Analytics may be transferred to and processed in the USA. We have activated IP anonymization, so your IP address is shortened by Google within the EU or the EEA before being transferred. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. This means the data cannot be directly linked to an individual.

Further information on data processing by Google Analytics can be found in Google’s privacy policy:

3.2 YouTube

Our website uses YouTube Player, a service provided by Google-operated platform YouTube. The operator is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

If you are logged into your YouTube account, you allow YouTube to associate your browsing behavior directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

3.3 Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel)

We use the visitor action pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Meta”) on this website.

With the help of the Meta Pixel, Meta is able to identify visitors to our website as a target group for displaying personalized ads on Facebook and Instagram. This allows us to show our ads only to Facebook users who have shown an interest in our online offering. Additionally, the Meta Pixel enables us to measure the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on an ad.

When you visit our website, the pixel is directly integrated by Meta and can store a cookie on the user’s device. If the user then logs into Facebook or is already logged in, the visit to our online offering is assigned to their user account.

This processing is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. The Meta Pixel is only activated after the user has actively given their consent.

Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. acts as our data processor. The collected data may also be transmitted to servers of Meta Platforms Inc. in the USA. Meta is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
